Pulse is more than a band-it’s a space where music becomes a pathway to healing, growth, and connection. Bringing together talented individuals ranging from early teens to young adults, Pulse is designed for those who carry exceptional artistic ability and many have also experienced real-life challenges—whether physical, emotional, or personal. Here, those experiences aren’t barriers; they’re part of the story that shapes each performer’s voice.
In Pulse, artists are trained not just to perform, but to truly listen—to themselves and to each other. Through collaborative rehearsals, live performance opportunities, and intentional mentorship, members learn how to blend their individual strengths into something unified and powerful. It’s about learning to trust again, to show up fully, and to discover confidence both on and off the stage.
At its heart, Pulse believes in the healing power of music. Every note, every harmony, every shared moment on stage becomes an opportunity—not just for personal transformation, but for reaching others who may be walking similar paths. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s authenticity. It’s using music as a way to process, to uplift, and to remind people they’re not alone.
As members grow, they’re also encouraged to give back—mentoring younger performers, supporting peers, and becoming leaders in their own right. Pulse creates a cycle of encouragement where those who have found strength through music help guide others toward it.
Pulse isn’t just about performance. It’s about purpose. It’s about turning life’s challenges into something meaningful—and sharing that light with the world. Pulse is supported through grants and the generous donations from the community as well as ticketed programming. Funds are used to support training and development. Pulse Band Live Events are produced by Rome Learning Center, Inc (RLC) their not for profit fiscal partner.
On May 17, Pulse will bring this mission to life on stage with a dynamic and heartfelt performance. The program will feature musical theater selections, beloved classics from the 1950s through the 1970s, smooth jazz, and current pop hits—all thoughtfully arranged to showcase what makes Pulse unique: today’s voices breathing new life into timeless songs. Each piece is reimagined to blend past and present into a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
This premier show is also in collaboration with The Kirkland Arts Center, Clinton, NY 13323
