An exciting evening unlike none other at WTA.
We invite you to a preview screening of ‘Joy O’ Dance’ the documentary filmed and produced by the very talented Dawn Feather @yorkshireedit which features Wright Theatre Arts
The documentary highlights the positive impact dance has on children’s and adults’s mental and physical health. It shows the bonds of friendships formed, the links dance can have with a community and the family that is created through the shared love of dance.
The documentary was filmed during Wright Theatre Arts rehearsal and show period of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ in March 2024.
Since then Dawn has been finalising the film together with a team of colourists, sound engineers, drone pilots, and with two composers Yvonne Lyon and Boo Herwerdine, who together have created the sound scape for the documentary.
‘Joy O’ Dance’ is more than a documentary, it is a collaboration that celebrates northern voices artists and talent, it will have you laughing and crying and will touch your hearts. It is being entered into a number of festivals in the short film category and we are very excited to host this special preview screening.
