The Little Shop of Horrors unfolds in a rundown flower shop on Skid Row, owned by the grumpy Mr. Mushnik. The story introduces Seymour Krelborn, a shy and awkward shop assistant with a love for botany, and Audrey, his sweet but timid co-worker, who is trapped in an abusive relationship with Orin, a sadistic dentist. The shop’s fortunes change when Seymour discovers a peculiar and exotic plant after a solar eclipse, naming it “Audrey II” after the girl he admires. This plant initially draws customers to the store, reviving the failing business.
