Lichfield based Tony Christie had had 50 years in the music business in his long anvaried career he has had nine top 40 UK singles including No 2 smash hit “ Is This The Way To Amarillo “ and the No 2 hit “I Did What I Did For Maria” in 2005 the album Tony Christie The Definitive Collection reached No 1 in the UK album chart.
