Sandy Denny of The Strawbs and Fairport Convention fame played her last ever show at Byfield Village Hall before she died at the age of 31 after suffering head injuries from a fall. She settled in the village and wrote many of her songs in her barn. She still has a huge following and inspires music in others. Including folk diva, Vikki Clayton who says “it’s a real privilege to be honouring Sandy Denny at the historic venue and honouring a true folk music legend. This show is something special to all folk fans.
