Christmas Ballet Recital - Oxford School of Ballet Ltd

Info for external spectators:

Welcome to our Christmas Recital on 15th December at Oxford High School, OX2 6XA. Depending on which performance you decide to buy tickets for (11.30 or 3.30pm), you are welcome to arrive 1 hour before. We will have some stalls and refreshments for you to browse and enjoy. Please ensure you bring your ticket on a phone or printed out, to be scanned on arrival. Both shows are different, with each one containing approximately 12 routines danced by 12 classes. No photography or videography will be allowed during the performances.

Info for those taking part: 

The performances will take place on Sunday 15th December 2024 at Oxford High School, OX2 6XA, in the Main Hall. One performance at 11.30am and another at 3.30pm. Your child will only be in 1 performance and you have already been notified which one. The performances are not a repeat of the same show. Any questions email: [email protected]

Parents will be expected to drop their child off 1 hour before the performance start time (i.e. 10.30am onwards, or 2.30pm). Dancers will be signed into the backstage area. The children will be looked after by DBS checked teachers and assistants, and warmed up for dancing, as well as getting into costume. No parents or other family members will be allowed into the backstage area.

Whilst this happens, parents, family members and spectators can browse the stalls on offer and have refreshments in the lobby and Main Hall area.

The performance itself will last no longer than 1 hour.

Two separate professional photographers will take pictures, one backstage in a well lit area, and the other during performances. These pictures will be distributed by Esme to parents, after the event.

When the performance ends, all dancers will be taken back to the Main Hall area and signed out/returned to a responsible adult who is collecting them. No children/participants will be able to leave during the performance, even if they have already performed their routine.

No images or videos are to be taken using any form of personal device, during the performance.

No admission will be allowed without a valid ticket, presented on the day.

Anyone who arrives more than 5 minutes after the start time of the performance, will not be allowed in, despite having a valid ticket.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE CORRECT PERFORMANCE TIME. WE CANNOT MAKE CHANGES ONCE TICKETS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED. We have 2 performances in order to allow every class to have the chance to show their routine once. If your child attends twice a week, they will likely perform 2 routines in the same performance, but please check this as there are a few exceptions. If you have more than one child that attends classes with us, they may be in separate performances, therefore you will need to purchase tickets to both.
