LVS Ascot students in Year 5 and 6 present a new musical, Elizabeth.
The musical starts with Elizabeth 1's assession to the throne. Her advisors first task is to persuade Elizabeth to marry, in order to produce an heir and secure her succession. Immediately, Elizabeth's stubborn, vain and intelligent traits are apparent.
As Elizabeth settles into her role, she proves herself a strong, successful leader. After a reasonably peaceful 30 years of rule, England are attacked by the Spanish and Elizabeth's charismatic, heroic explorers save the day!
Elizabeth's Court are visited by Shakespeare and his players and Elizabeth enjoys a successful 'progression' during which she is admired by her loyal subjects.
Elizabeth is near the end of her life, having never married or produced an heir. However, members of court and the English public recognise her contribution and impressive legacy.
