Happy Christmas! This year we are so excited to tell you that we have exclusive use of the ice skating rink at Letchworth Lido, just for Gifford Dancers and their families and friends, to celebrate Christmas together. It's on Friday 6th December at 5pm and yes it is real ice! Every GDA dancer is invited to come and join in the fun and you can bring your family with you, as well as a friend if you would like to.
Everyone 7 years old and under needs to bring an adult over 18 on the ice with them please. We have been told that there will be aids available for little ones to use, and skate hire is included. We suggest that everyone wears a Santa hat to make it feel even more Christmassy and it would be great for pictures!
Spaces are limited so make sure you secure yours! We are so excited to celebrate Christmas with you as one big Gifford Dance family! Absolutely all ages are welcome.
Housekeeping:
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the session to collect skates.
The skating session officially finishes a 5.45pm so any unaccompanied dancers need to be collected at 6pm please.
Some of you may wish to stay on afterwards as we understand there will be a cafe serving things such as chips, churros, burgers, snacks and drinks, so you might want to bring some money for this. However, at present the cafe opening times are not available/confirmed.
Please wear thick socks to make your feet more comfortable in skates and we suggest gloves too - wrap up warm
For any invited friends who are not dancers, the inviting dancer's emergency contact details will be used for the friend too, unless we are told otherwise.
Photos will be taken and shared on social media so please make anyone coming with you aware of this.
To help fund the event and to limit numbers, we are asking spectators to buy a £2.50 ticket please.
Everyone Active and not Gifford Dance, are responsible the safety of everyone on the ice.
