Join the Growing Your Dance Business CPD Workshop on Friday 18th January in Bournemouth to learn basic tools to help you understand that you are running a business as well as a dance school.
Running a dance school is so much more complicated than simply teaching dance. As well as being a teacher, you have to have an understanding of basic business practices in order to grow and develop your school and business - such as, the difference between turnover and profit, what makes your school stand out from your competitors, how can you ensure you retain your team as well as your students, and whether your marketing is effective. You have probably just picked up these business practices along the way!
It can be lonely at the top and often difficult to find someone to share your troubles with, which means they often build up out of proportion. This workshop will make you realise you are not alone. The challenges you face are shared by many people who run all sorts of businesses and there are often easy ways to make very effective changes. It is also important to remember that you need personal and family time too. Time management can be a huge challenge when you run your own business and it can play a very important role in your own wellbeing.
Anne Walker MBE ran her own dance school for 15 years as well as starting International Dance Supplies, which she turned into a multi-million pound global company. She is ideally placed to help you run your business more efficiently and profitably.
