David is Nani's friend and love interest, a laid-back surfer and fire dancer. He is patient, kind, and always there when Nani needs him without being pushy about it. He represents the calm centre in the chaos of Nani's life.

David moves with relaxed, fluid energy. Nothing is rushed. His gestures are open and easy. He leans, he sways, he moves like someone who spends his life near the ocean.
