About this Event
"Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" with Monty Python's SPAMALOT. With music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, and lyrics and a book by Idle, the show is based on the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It offers a highly irreverent parody of Arthurian legend. It follows King Arthur as he recruits the Knights of the Round Table—Lancelot, Galahad, Bedivere, and Robin—on a quest for the Holy Grail. Along the way, they encounter absurd challenges, including the Knights Who Say Ni, a deadly killer rabbit, and taunts from a French castle. The story blends medieval adventure with meta-theatrical humor, often poking fun at Broadway conventions while delivering catchy, comedic songs.
