Join us for Christmas in June for God Bless Us, Every One! Leave the shopping, wrapping, cooking, and party planning behind, and travel back in time to experience the wonder of a Victorian Christmas in England.
Inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, this original production features much of Dickens’ beloved dialogue while reimagining the story through the journey of a young girl instead of a crotchety old man. Why has someone so young become so bitter? Through dance and drama, audiences will witness her moving transformation and rediscover the hope, compassion, and joy at the heart of the season.
While Christmas may still be six months away, the message at the heart of this story is timeless and meaningful in every season. In fact, without the usual holiday rush and pressures, its themes of redemption, hope, and transformation may resonate even more deeply.
Your springtime, stress-free Christmas celebration takes place Saturday, June 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the Downtown Library Theatre. We can’t wait to share this heartfelt story with you — one that just might change hearts.
