Seated show? Ticket Tailor charges its fee twice for a seated ticket, so ours costs less up to £25 a ticket (£21 if you're VAT registered), and it's your buyers who pay it, never you.

One ticket in an order, unreserved. Ticket Tailor's fees as they publish them, checked on 30 October 2026: £0.60 + VAT per ticket on pay as you go (twice for a seated one), and card processing: your own Stripe, PayPal or Square fees (Stripe: 1.5% + 20p). Their fee's VAT is added at 20%, which you can reclaim if you're VAT registered. From £15 an unreserved ticket, their fees come to less than ours, paid by you.

Why organisers choose Stage Stubs over Ticket Tailor

1

You keep the full ticket price

Buyers pay our booking fee on top of the price, with card processing included, so a £13 ticket pays you £13. On Ticket Tailor, their fee and your card processing come out of your takings unless you add a booking fee of your own.

2

We build your seating plan

Send us your venue's layout (a sketch, PDF, picture or spreadsheet) and our team builds the plan for free, usually within a working day. On Ticket Tailor you build the chart yourself, and each seated ticket pays their fee twice.

Is Ticket Tailor ever the better choice?

For a few things, yes. Ticket Tailor may suit you better if:

  • You need checkout on your own website, or a white-label box office.
  • You sell memberships, season passes, bundles, gift cards or online events.
  • You need waiting lists, or buyers paying by PayPal, Klarna or bank transfer.
  • You're a registered charity: Ticket Tailor takes 50% off its fee.
  • You'd buy their prepaid credits, which cost less than paying as you go: from £0.22 + VAT a ticket.
  • Your tickets cost £15 or more and aren't seated (£13 if you're VAT registered), where their fees come to less than ours, though you pay them rather than your buyers.

For most shows, concerts and events in person, Stage Stubs comes out ahead

Nothing to pay to sell, card processing included and a seating plan built for you.
